Jun. 20th, 1973 Sungsim School Foundation is established.
Dec. 11th, 1996 The charter for Youngsan University is authorized. Eight departments with 940 students are established.
Mar. 10th, 1997 Youngsan University opens and Dr. Chun-koo Jeong takes office as the first president of the university.
Oct. 21st, 1997 Four departments are added and the number of students increases to 1,460.
(The four new departments are International Relations, Mass Communication, Art, and Interior Design.)
Oct. 19th, 1998 The multiple-major school system is adopted. Eight schools and 24 majors are established.
Feb. 26th, 1999 The first graduation ceremony is held.
Aug. 2nd, 1999 The Internet Business Incubator is chosen as an entrepreneur by the Small and Medium Business Administration.
Nov. 2nd, 1999 The establishment of the graduate schools is approved. (The Graduate School of Legal Affairs and the Graduate School of Hotel, Tourism Management & Business)
Jan. 11th, 2000 The School of Multimedia Engineering receives financial support by the Ministry of Information and Communication.
Jan. 25th, 2000 Dr. Kwan Yun, former Chief Justice, takes office as the Honorary President. Dr. Sam-sung Yang, the chief lawyer of Hwabaek Law Firm, takes office as the Vice-President of Legal Affairs.
Feb. 16th, 2000 Internet Business Incubator opens.
Mar. 7th, 2000 he Seoul Auxiliary Learning Center opens. (The Seoul branch campus for the Graduate School of Legal Affairs is established and a video teleconferencing system is installed.)
Jul. 18th, 2000 The establishment of the Graduate School of Computer & Information Communication is approved. (Three graduate schools with 120 graduate students)
Sep. 29th, 2000 An agreement is signed with South Baylo University, U.S.A. for a preparatory program for American licencing in oriental medicine.
Oct. 11th, 2000 The School of Sports and Recreation is added. The total number of students increases to 2,360 in eleven schools with 33 majors.
Feb. 13th, 2001 The Graduate School of Computer and Information Communication receives financial support from the Ministry of Information and Communication.
Feb. 15th,2001 Dr. Gu-wuck Bu takes office as the second President of Youngsan University.
Mar. 30th, 2001 The university dormitory opens.
May 8th, 2001 Youngsan University is designated as the official MAYA training center.
May 31st, 2001 An educational-industrial liaison agreement is signed with major law firms in the Seoul area. (The law firms are Kwangjang, Mirae, Sejong, Uhyun, Yulchon, Chungjeong, Taepyungyang, and Hwabaek.)
Jun. 7th, 2001 An educational-industrial liaison agreement is signed with two major law firms in the Busan area. (The law firms are Kukje and Chungryul.)
Mar. 1st, 2002 The School of Information and Communication Engineering is established. (12 schools and 34 majors)
Jun. 20th, 2002 An academic exchange agreement is signed with Kyunghee University and Hanyang University, Korea.
Oct. 16th, 2002 The Busan campus, the second campus of Youngsan University, is approved by the Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development.
