| 1) Introduction |
|
| This Department of Japanese
aims to produce competitive elites
with specialized practical knowledge
and advanced Japanese who can
lead the global age. The department
also produces Japanese teachers
and lecturers by offering teacher
training courses. Due to the increase
in personnel and cultural exchange
between Korea and Japan through
the effect of the cultural opening
and Korean pop art, there have
been great needs for experts in
the areas of Japanese business,
Japanese tourism, and Japanese
translation and interpretation.
To meet these needs the department
offers a curriculum which allows
students to develop good command
of Japanese skills, to obtain
certificates, to be ready for
promising jobs by focusing on
practical on-the-job training.
In parallel to these programs,
the department runs student exchange
programs with the sister-school
universities in Japan, overseas
language training, cultural experience
programs, and exchange programs
with Japanese entrepreneurs to
produce elites equipped with internationalism
and abilities required by the
global age. |

Nagasaki University of Foreign
