| 1) Introduction |
|
| This department is a specialized
department whose goal is to produce
professional performance artists
who will lead the field in the
21st Century. In the era of digital
image culture, there is a need
for professional performers and
directors with outstanding artistic
sense and on-the-spot insights.
This department excels in unearthing
the talents of students and provides
training so that students can
have their skills. These students
after taking courses can then
go on to become outstanding actors
and directors. The goal of this
department is to produce multi-functional
professionals in the fields of
acting and directing in such fields
as movies, drama, stage, TV, and
radio. |

Characteristics |

- The courses are taught by
field professionals. (Prof. Jong-Won
Choi, stage actor, movie actor,
and television entertainer and
Prof. Ki-Ryong Sohn, general manager
and chief director of Busan Metropolitan
Theater Company)
- The department provides practical
training in liaison with the theater
industry in Busan, Gyeongnam,
and Ulsan.
- All graduates of the first and
second year found employment.
All graduates of the third year
are also expected to be employed.
- The students were awarded with
prizes in the international and
domestic drama festivals. |
